Tiny Caveman is about 1½"tall, or 54 times tinier than the average Cro-Magnon man.
BODY
With Color 1, CO 4 sts onto one needle.
Knit 2 rows of I-cord, then break the yarn and set aside on a spare needle.
Make a second leg the same way as the first, without breaking the yarn.
Join legs
Divide the sts of each leg onto 2 needles, with the first 2 sts of each leg adjacent to each other on one needle, and the last 2 sts of each leg adjacent to each other on the other needle. Hold the needles parallel to each other, with the working yarn attached to the rightmost st on the back needle.
Knit one round, starting with the needle in front, then flipping the needles around and continuing on with the back needle.
Distribute 8 sts onto 3 needles to continue to work in a round.
Shape body
Rnd 1: [Kfb] 8 times (16 sts).
Rnd 2: [Kfb, k1] 8 times (24 sts).
Rnds 3–11: Knit (9 rounds).
Rnd 12: [K2tog, k2] 6 times (18 sts).
Rnd 13: Knit.
Rnd 14: [K2tog, k1] 6 times (12 sts).
Stuff the piece.
Rnd 15: [K2tog] 6 times (6 sts).
Break the yarn and draw it tightly through the sts with a tapestry needle.
Sew up the gap between the legs with a couple of small sts.
EYES
With Black, embroider the eyes with 2 sts for each, placed about 5 sts from the top of the head and spaced about 3 sts apart.
ARMS
With Color 1, CO 2 sts onto one needle.
Knit 22 rows of I-cord, then break the yarn and draw it tightly through the sts with a tapestry needle.
With the end still threaded on the tapestry needle, insert the I-cord through the Body, going in and coming out at the sides of the Body and about 3 sts below the eyes. Pull the I-cord halfway through, leaving an even amount on each side. Weave the loose ends back through the I-cord and the Body.
ANIMAL SKIN
With Color 2, CO 24 sts onto 3 needles and join in a round.
Knit 10 rounds.
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail of approximately 14".
Thread the tail onto a tapestry needle, and slip the needle under the second and first sts in the round, from left to right ()
